To prepare for the surgical procedure, 3D x-rays are taken and evaluated by Dr. Mungcal to choose optimal placement of the implants. They are then surgically placed into the bone and temporary crowns are worn by the patient while healing. This period allows the titanium post and the bone to bond together for stability. After this time, the permanent dental crown is affixed atop the implanted post. From this point on, regular at-home dental hygiene and visits to your dentist are recommended, the same as with your natural teeth.
