Highlands Preschool is looking for an experienced, energetic and creative Executive Director for our school for a 1-year term to fill a maternity leave. Located in Edgemont Village in North Vancouver, Highlands is one of the north shore's largest preschools with 10 classes and over 150 children.
Highlands has invested significantly in becoming fully certified to deliver the internationally acclaimed HighScope curriculum. The ED will be responsible for leading the teaching team to implement this curriculum in the classroom.
The successful applicant will possess strong management and administrative skills in the child care field and have excellent communication skills. The ED will be responsible for managing all the day-to-day operations of the school, helping to promote and market the program, and maintaining and building its financial position through new and existing activities. The ED will also provide direction and support to our families, teachers and aids, and will occasionally teach in the classroom.
This is a full-time, year-round position.
Salary: Depending on Experience.
Requirements: Bachelor?s degree in Early Childhood Education or a combination of an Early Childhood Education Diploma with 5+years experience. Familiarity with licensing requirements is a bonus.
