The Business Company of the New Westminster School District in BC runs ESL programs in public schools in Wenzhou, China as the English component in the curriculum for students Gr. 7-9. We are currently seeking qualified full-time instructors for the school year 2011 to 2011 starting August 22, 2011.
If you
- are a North American English native-speaker ( local born Canadian or American)
- have a Bachelor's Degree (preferably English-related courses, although not necessarily)
- have an ESL/TESL/TESOL/TEFL certification (at least 60 hrs training)
- are willing to commit at least 11 months full-time starting in September 2011
- are interested in experiencing cultural exchange as an ESL Instructor
- are able to travel and live abroad, particularly in Wenzhou, China
- understand the complexities of language acquisition by non-native English speakers
- are meticulous and consistent with the quality of your work teaching
We provide:
- Chinese RMB 7600 and monthly stipend in Canadian dollars $500
- roundtrip ticket from point of hire to China
- visa processing; medical coverage assistance; in-campus housing
- $3K Canadian end of the contract bonus and in-China travel bonus
