Are you an inventory management or supply chain professional searching for a dynamic role to expand your knowledge base in the manufacturing field?
My client, a leading edge manufacturing facility located in Mississauga, has a job opening for a talented individual who has significant experience in the area of production scheduling.
Responsibilities:
 Schedules all steel production lines
 Schedules splitting of coils at outside processors
 Updates schedules as required and communicates to plant foremen
 Liaise with sales and plant supervision on customer order issues
 responsible for timely flow of raw steel to support production plan
 Work within capacity and capability constraints of the lines
 schedules trucks to pick up steel from mills in a timely cost effective manner
 Expedites raw materials as needed
 Works with Technical Planner to ensure systems support planning activities
 Liaises with plant supervision to produce product in the most cost effective manner
 Assists manager as required
 Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
 Must have 6-10 years of solid production scheduling experience acquired in a manufacturing facility or other similar work environment
 Strong analytical and mathematical skills
 Proficient and fluent on a range of PC based systems
 Strong organizational and communication skills
 Must be fluent in JD Edwards and training
 Knowledge of mechanical products
 Must have experience in Production line flow and constraints
Academic Qualifications:
 Must have a College diploma completed
 enrolled in APICS certification courses Certified Production & inventory Management or Supply Chain Professional
 JD Edwards training and/or certification
