Bilingual (French/English) R.E.C.E Position Soufriere Kid?s Development Child Care Centre- Located in Ajax, Ontario.
Soufriere Kid?s Development Child Care Centre is a for profit organization, which provide a French and English bilingual program to meet the needs of the parent we serve.
SKD is seeking a bilingual creative and energetic individual, who has demonstrated experience with children to fulfill a full time permanent position in the centre. In this role report to the Supervisor you will provide high quality developmentally appropriate experience to children 18 month to 12 years of ages. Additional you will assist with house keeping activity, snack preparation, and other duties as assigned by the director.
Reporting to the Supervisor the R.E.C.E will:
? Plan and implement developmentally appropriate program for the assigned age, group to enhance children?s cognitive, physical, social and emotional development in accordance with Soufriere Kid?s Development Child Care Centre philosophy and policy.
? Ensure that all aspects of the program are non-discriminatory, racially sensitive, culturally appropriate and non-biased.
? Provide support/work direction to supply staff and volunteers
? Incorporate learning experience designed to meet the individual children as required. Identify and report special needs and concern to the director.
? Actively participate with children in program in the centre, out and on centre excursions
? Observe and asses children?s progress and behaviour to ensure program meets individual and group needs.
? Provide a program, which meets the specifications of all relevant legislation, policies, Regional of Durham Children?s Services Operating Criteria, guidelines and general practices.
Educational Qualification and Required Experience:
? A diploma or Degree in Early Child Education ( ECE) or equivalent as approved by the Ministry of Community and Social Services and 2 year of direct experience in the child care field
