My name is Nathan Létourneau. I am an experienced and educated French instructor, with a Bilingual Bachelor of Commerce (finance) from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Music in voice performance from the University of Toronto. I have worked in French in Finance and Translation for several years out of Montréal and Toronto.
I enjoy tutoring all ages and levels in French and am an enthusiastic, patient and dedicated instructor. I approach each child with a custom tailored curriculum, appropriate for age and difficulty. I work with children and teens from age 9 to 19 and I encourage an interactive approach to teaching, encouraging participation and active use of French while building grammar and literary skills. For younger children, this includes a hands-on approach where French is incorporated into everyday work and play.
I believe that the early acquisition of a second language truly brings long-term benefits for both mental and social development. I enjoy working with youth, it is exciting to nurture their development and bear witness to their growth. I am passionate about French and I look to imbue my students with a long-term love for the French language and culture. I tutor AP French, French Immersion and business French.
I offer very reasonable rates for both tutoring and translation, and am an enthusiastic and dedicated instructor. While I am located primarily at the University of Toronto downtown Toronto, I am willing to make house calls in the GTA and am flexible in arranging a meeting location.
