Assistant to the Administrative Director
Term: July 1, 2013 - October 31, 2013
Reporting to: Executive Director (and Executive Team)
Synopsis: Manifesto Community Projects is a non-profit arts organization that unites, energizes, supports and celebrates Torontos vibrant and diverse music, dance and arts community. Throughout Manifestos year-round cultural programming - including the flagship annual Manifesto Festival of Community and Culture we provide a platform to cultivate local arts as a tool for positive change on the individual, community and city level.
Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communications and editing skills.
Strong written communication skills; ability to write clear, structured, articulate,
and persuasive proposals and reports.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Trustworthy, flexible, possessing cultural awareness and sensitivity, demonstrating a sound worth ethic
Analytical, problem-solving and financial management skills
Effective organizational skills, initiative and self-direction, schedule design and administrative experience
Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to concentrate despite being in a busy open area office with regular
meetings and interruptions. Strong contributor in team environments.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, various web applications (Gmail, Google
Docs, Smartsheet, Dropbox)
Completion of secondary school is required. Completion of college certificate or university degree is preferred.
Duties:
Gain a solid understanding of Manifesto's history, mission, initiatives, and plans.
Prepare, edit and proofread organizational documents, including correspondence, brochures, reports, etc.
Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings, prepare agendas and handouts
