The Canadian Red Cross Society (CRCS), a non-profit, humanitarian organization dedicated to helping Canadians, as well as the most vulnerable throughout the world, is currently seeking experienced medical and non-medical professionals to be part of the Emergency Response Unit (ERU) roster of the Canadian Red Cross, to be trained and ready to deploy on short notice in the event of an overseas emergency.

General Requirements
? Must be eligible to work in Canada
? In good mental & physical health
? Professional qualification in field of expertise with a valid professional license where applicable
? Minimum 3 years professional experience in their field of expertise
? Fluency in English (written and spoken)
? Overseas experience in developing countries
? Experience of working effectively within a multicultural team
? Ability to work in high stress environments with minimal supervision
? Experience in staff supervision, management and development
? Must have a valid driver?s licence, with the ability to drive manual gears
? Agreement to follow the Red Cross Code of Conduct
Desirable
? Fluency in more than one language ? including French, Spanish, Arabic and/or Russian
? Experience of working for the Red Cross/Red Crescent
? Experience of working for a humanitarian aid organisation in a developing country
? Self-supporting in computers (Windows, spreadsheets, word processing)
? Experience in planning and managing budgets
? Experience in writing narrative
