Description
Seller-provided details for this listing.
recently moved from Toronto to Ottawa for the Computer Science program at Carleton University. In Toronto I had several clients that I would regularly help with their computer troubles/needs. I am experienced with Windows, Mac and Linux.
My rate is $25 an hour and I am usually available to get to work right away. I prefer for you to bring me the computer and come pick it up when it's done. If that is inconvenient for you in any way, or if it doesn't make sense for what you need me to do then I would be happy to make the trip to your place and help you from there.
Also for some software related tasks I might be able to help you remotely either over the phone or by taking over your desktop and working on your computer remotely.
Some tasks that I most frequently perform for people are:
- Virus/Spyware clean
- General system tune up
- Hardware upgrades (memory/ram, Hard Drive, Wireless, etc)
- Setting up a backup solution
- Software upgrades
- Reformatting and reinstalling an Operating System (and preserving your data)
- Custom building PCs and helping choose exactly what parts you want in it
- Setting up a wireless or wired network (securely)
- Ensuring that your setup is secure and minimizing your risk to hackers and viruses
If what you need isn't on the list, feel free to call me, there's still a good chance that I can help you.
