I am a native Spanish speaker from Guatemala. I hold a professional certification for Specialization in Spanish Language Teaching through the University of San Carlos (Guatemala). All my credentials can be shown on request. Dont settle simply for a teacher who speaks the language - like any profession both training and experience will give the best results.
I have more than 12 Years experience teaching Spanish to foreign students in my hometown of Antigua Guatemala - the top city for traveling, volunteering and studying Spanish in Latin America.
I have now brought my services to Canada, for all levels (Beginner-Advanced) all ages, and all methods of learning!
During my experience teaching I have encountered all kinds of interesting people with different levels of proficiency and different purposes for their Spanish. I can tailor classes to meet your needs: travel for leisure, work, or just for fun!
Some students learn most effectively in classrooms that are highly communicative and use techniques such as role-play and grammar games, while more visual learners use Flash Cards and Slides presentations (video-conference, movies) to support lesson content.
I also offer virtual lessons over skype or MSN and have received specific training in these areas acredited to me through Lingua-Meeting Co., Houston, USA.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
Students typically can expect to develop moderate fluency in 3-5 months with my training. Even after the first class you will be speaking in basic Spanish - guaranteed!
