This is an original F. Holloway sketch of Prescott Windmill after the Nov.12 1838 battle between the Hunter Patriots and British forces. The depiction shows the windmill as it was before the occupation as a military post and before it was converted to a lighthouse(1872). This is the only complete image of the windmill that I have been able to find on any data base. There is a small amount of moisture damage but it doesn't affect the image. The piece comes with the original frame and glass. The picture shown had to be severely modified to meet the needs of the ad, please email for more complete and better resolution pictures. The paper is very fragile and requires care. The decision to sell this piece was a hard one and I hope to find it a good home. Ritchie
