Pryme Consulting has an exceptional professional opportunity for an experienced GIS Developer based out of the Ottawa office for one of their largeest clients, you will leverage your knowledge and experience in developing web based GIS solutions.

As a Developer you will contribute to the ongoing business operations of the company by effectively providing delivery of assigned consulting projects and other client services.

Developer, GIS Web/ Desktop responsibilities include:

Providing technical expertise in development and implementation of customer web based solutions
Work closely with project teams to manage client expectations and ensure project objectives are met
Contribute to defining work packages and effort estimates for proposal responses
Contribute in the development of project plans for all assigned projects
Working with other Consultant(s) in the design of client solutions from conception to completion
Writing code, testing, debugging and documentation
Installation of customized applications integrated with Esri products
Proactively pursue self-instruction on all relevant technical topics
Ability to attain government secret (Level II) clearance and/or Top Secret (Level III)
Specific skill requirements:

3+ years experience with GIS and/or IT applications including application development
Proven knowledge and experience as a developer in GIS and/or IT projects
Experience deploying and administering ArcGIS Server
Carrying out desktop application development/design, software implementation and documentation
Installation and testing of customized desktop applications integrated with Esri products
o Working knowledge of relational databases (Oracle or SQLServer)
o Experience developing in a COM environment
o Experience programming in multi-tier architecture client/server environments

University degree in computer science, engineering, math, GIS or equivalent education and experience
