Centre Linguistique du Collège de Jonquière is now hiring Monitors for this year?s EXPLORE Program in Ottawa
(Summer Language Bursary Program)
July 3 ? August 5, 2011 (Plus training dates listed below)
Remuneration: $450/ week ● 35 - 44 hours/week ● 6 weeks
Your Role: As part of the socio-cultural team, you will help students improve their English language skills through out-of-classroom activities. These include: workshops, activities focused on linguistic and cultural aspects of the English language, after school games and outings, and weekend trips.
We are looking for individuals who are Dynamic, Enthusiastic and Creative. Must possess strong leadership skills and must be a team player. Ideal for those who have worked as a camp counselor, animator or coach. Experience working with youth aged 15-17 an asset. Experience in sports, drama, music, dance, gymnastics/ cheerleading, journalism, or fine arts are an asset. Previous experience in a language immersion program and in activity/event planning is also beneficial.
Responsibilities:
1 planning and running a workshop twice a week
2 leading and supervising activities and excursions
3 motivating and interacting with students
4 implementing language incentive programs
