Seller-provided details for this listing.
When you first start out in net for ball hockey, you may think you're terrible or that you don't have what it takes. Truth is, whether you play ice hockey or you have excellent hand-eye coordination, ball hockey is a whole other ball game.
Ball hockey is quite different from Ice Hockey. Your technique needs to be adjusted, and learning the ball is a lot trickier than playing with a puck which can be frustrating when you think you're in position and the ball dances around you.
This is why I'm offering to help train any goalies who want to improve their game at ball hockey. Here's what we'll be working on:
- Positioning/Stance
- This includes useful pointers that aren't provided in ice hockey.
- Types of Saves
- We'll go over the known types of saves and what adjustments are needed to play in ball hockey.
- Situational Play
- What to do when you face one timers, breakaways, point shots, one timers from behind the net, bounces against the back boards and glass, or you lose your stick. *Remember, you can't slide and the ball curves.
- During cool down we'll work on some hand-eye coordination drills since at this point you'll need it more than ever with the ball constantly bouncing and changing direction.
For more information, you can reach me at 613-452-0734 or send me an email.
You can also follow me on twitter, @RielOuimet5 where I'll be posting the fall/season leagues that I'll be playing in. Ball hockey and Ice Hockey.
'Our goal is to stop the goal.'
*Location depends on availability of gym.
