Golden Lake Camp is a Christian camp that provides a fun, safe and non-judgemental environment where staff and campers can develop in their faith and flourish as a unique individual. Working at camp allows you to use your own personal gifts and strengths to be a positive role model in the lives of many children. We are looking for creative and responsible staff to fill a variety of roles for our summer programs. We have full-time summer employment, leadership and development programs, or a great way to complete your 40 hours of community service by volunteering on a weekly basis. If you are interested in joining our team in the role of:
ASSISTANT COOK
The RESPONSIBILITIES include:
? Assisting the head cook in all administrative duties, setting the menu, ordering food, etc.
? Supervising other kitchen staff and volunteers
? Cooking, cleaning, organizing and unloading of food
? Preparing alternate meals for staff and campers with specific dietary needs
? Assisting outdoor camp cook with menu creation and maintaining food stocks
? Assuming the Head Cook role when the he/she is unavailable
? Help familiarize new kitchen staff
? Help with session and evening game when time and energy levels allow
? Participating in devotional activities
The IDEAL candidate for the position will possess:
? Previous kitchen experience
? Experience managing people and tasks
? Great teamwork skills
? A Christian Faith
? Excellent stress management techniques
? Ability to accept supervision and guidance
? A high energy, fun and positive attitude
? Have good character, integrity and adaptability
Location: Deacon, Ontario
Staff training begins July 1, 2011 and contract ends August 28, 2011
This position will require a criminal record check
