My client is a well-established bank is looking for
UNIX System Administrator - Major Bank Location: Montreal, QC
Duration: 6 Months contract with strong possibility of extension.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Consultant will be responsible to fix production problem, Set up new users, security access setup, security patch deployment, change request, etc.
MUST HAVE:
UNIX* 4 years
Diagnostic Tools* 4 years
Shell Scripts* 4 years
Support/on call: Pager Pay 1 week every 3 weeks including weekends.
NICE TO HAVE:
Unix Certification
Exposure to Unix Solaris server patching
Financial/Insurance
Bilingual
Monitor and resolve incidents related to infrastructure systems and applications
Initiate corrective actions to resolve system and infrastructure application errors.
Log and document production problems, identify recurring problems and recommend preventative measures.
Answer calls from application support groups or systems engineers, identify problems, resolve or escalate as required.
Interact with systems programmers, server, database and network support staff to maintain responsive and available infrastructure for the application
SKILLS:
Knowledge of UNIX Solaris
