My client is a well-established printing and consulting organization located in Montreal, QC. They are looking for a PRINT OPERATOR (mail and bindery exp required).
This is 10 months contract with possibility of extension.
Job Description
PRINT OPERATOR with mail distribution, bindery and digital print experience.
Responsibilities include:
Mail inserters, complex document finishing and basic digital print (black & white/colour) duties
Equipment care, client facing reception, records management and inventory management duties
Set up - operate and maintain networked digital colour production printing system and front-end colour servers
Configure job processing settings - manage job queues - process files and print jobs
Convert digital files to formats such as PDF - TIFF - PostScript - XML etc. for import into document management systems
Troubleshoot complex PDL - PDF and variable data workflow issues such as trapping - overprinting and performance optimization
Merge variable data in to standard formats
Perform quality checks on equipment utilized - diagnose and correct performance and image quality problems per operator maintenance procedures
