My client is a well-established Financial Institution, situated in Montreal, QC. They are looking for a Bilingual Senior Accounts Processing Clerk for a Major Bank. This is a 6 months contract with the possibility of extension.


Job Description:
Processing of accounting entries and clearing transactions with working knowledge of data entry systems and accounting procedures.

Key Accountabilities:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY AREAS:

1) Process financial transactions.
2) Process manual accounting entries transactions submitted.
3) Provide customer service
4) Assist in new implementation and productivity.
5) Others

• Operates multiples disparate daily tasks, products and deadline daily.
• Within Canadian complex commodity taxes regulations environment, control and reporting accuracy is very important to mitigate financial risk to the bank.
• Demanding working hours at month, quarter and fiscal year end.
• Strict remittance tax deadlines – avoid penalty and preserve bank compliance image.
• Multi-currency account vs. Canadian equivalent GL balance makes reconciliation & accounting more challenging.
