Make-A-Wish Foundation Northern Alberta

The Organization

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northern Alberta is a dynamic wish-granting organization that brings hope, strength and joy to children living with life-threatening medical conditions. We serve the Northern part of Alberta (Red Deer north) and work closely with Make-A-Wish® chapters from around the world to assist them with wishes they have taking place in our territory. Beginning in 1998, the Northern Alberta Chapter has granted over 500 wishes to date and hopes to grant 100 magical wishes in 2012.

Along with the national office, seven independent regional chapters grant magical wishes to children in need from coast-to-coast. Make-A-Wish® Canada is an affiliate of Make-A-Wish® International, the largest and most well known international children’s wish granting organization which is present in over 36 countries and on 5 continents worldwide, making dreams and wishes come true for more than 280,000 children since 1980. The Make A Wish brand is the most recognized in the world and we take great pride in our organization and mandate.
