The YWCA WALK A MILE IN HER SHOES fundraising event helps women and their children take steps to walk away from family violence. Although family violence is a very serious matter, this is a fun and light-hearted event. On event day join local celebrities and other concerned men by strapping on high heels to find out what it is like to WALK A MILE IN HER SHOES.
Only men can register to participate, however we know from experience that women play a huge part in this event by encouraging men to take part, assisting them in fundraising to reach their goal and cheering them on during the event.
This is a donation-based event with no registration fee. The recommend goal per participant is $1,000 which will help us to reach our goal of $300,000 that much faster.
So join us at Olympic Plaza on September 19th to ?WALK A MILE IN HER SHOES!?
Shoes and lunch provided.
