Responsible for supervising an assigned driver group to ensure availability to meet business needs. Perform all dispatch duties and follow driver movements, direct drivers, distribute work/routes, and schedule drivers to handle loads to meet or exceed cusomer expectations and follow all government regulations.
Also responsible for addressing any issues related to driver performance, punctuality, availability, traning, vacation, and payroll concerns, as required.
Personal commitment to customer service is required. A specialized knowledge of and previous experience in the transportation industry would be an asset.
Other qualifications include good interpersonal and motivational skills, organizational/planning skills, system skills (ICC dispatch systems (AS400), Cancom satellite system), verbal and written communication skills, and problem solving skills. Multilingual candidates preferred but not mandatory.
